Detroit Symphony Orchestra returns to Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital
CONCERT MARKS SECOND YEAR OF DSO AND HENRY FORD HEALTH SYSTEM PARTNERSHIP
  DETROIT, (March 10, 2010) –Marking the second year in an innovative partnership, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) and Henry Ford Health System will bring a free community concert titled Music and Healing to Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital on March 15. The performance, conducted by Charles Greenwell and located in the Ravitz Foundation Main Atrium, begins at 7 p.m.  Â
Highlights of the all-string program include Tchaikovsky’s Serenade C major for Strings, J. Strauss and J. Strauss Jr.’s Pizzicato Polka, Anderson’s Plink, Plank Plunk; and Copland’s “Hoe Down” from Rodeo for String Orchestra.
In addition to this special concert event, the DSO/Henry Ford partnership continues to provide live music of DSO concerts in the 2010-2011 Season via digital feed to patients’ rooms at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.
